Shark and Ray Eggcase Hunt at Shell Bay!

We’re running a shark and ray eggcase hunt and beach clean at Shell Bay, Studland!

Join us for a shark and ray eggcase hunt at Shell Bay, Studland! We’re aiming to beat the rain, collect as many eggcases as we can, and pick up litter as we go. All of the eggcases will be identified to species, and records uploaded to The Shark Trust‘s national database, helping them to map the distribution of our native species around the whole of the UK.

Haul from a previous eggcase hunt.

Meet us in the car park next to the beach at 10:00 for a welcome briefing and distribution of equipment. We’ll be the ones with a dogfish (AKA our whippet Lola, sporting a very snazzy shark fin).

Our dogfish, Lola!

Additional Information:

The National Trust Studland Bay have kindly agreed to collect the rubbish bags from the bin station at the BBQ area.
