Hi everyone!
17th May 2015 | by Georgia FrenchI'm very happy to introduce you to my blog, essentially formalising SharkStuff and making it transition from being an idea I've had for years, into an actual entity in its own right.
Why am I blogging?
I have decided to create this blog for several reasons. Firstly, I would like to share the story of my PhD research on white sharks (Carcharodon carcharias) with you, by talking about the work that I am doing with the sharks in addition to all the other trials and tribulations that come with undertaking a PhD.
Secondly, I am an advocate for raising awareness of shark conservation issues and enlightening as many people as I can on the fascinating subject that is sharks. As an avid water user, I want to help people better understand how they can safely and respectfully share our beautiful oceans with sharks of all shapes and sizes.
Thirdly, I love connecting with people who are as passionate as I am about sharks – be it studying them, diving with them or simply appreciating how awesome they are.
Expect a glorious mix of science, pictures, shark facts, PhD chat and general musings.
