Hengistbury Head BioBlitz this Saturday!
12th June 2017 | by Georgia FrenchBioBlitz: Discover and record your local wildlife
Come and get your wildlife CSI on and help us to beat last year’s record of 16 recorded species on Hengistbury Head beach!
Between 15:00 and 17:00 we’ll be combing the beaches looking for as many species, or evidence of species as possible, including shark and ray eggcases, seaweeds, seashells, insects, crustaceans, and birds. We need your help to us find and ID these critters!
The BioBlitz is a nationwide initiative set up by the British Natural History Consortium , designed to engage people with their wildlife and collect valuable data at the same time. We’re taking part in the Hengistbury Head BioBlitz, run by the brilliant people at the Hengistbury Head Visitor Centre.
